OUR SERVICES

Six ways we work with clients.

Each engagement is tailored to the decision behind it. The six services below describe the structural shape of our work — sector research, ecosystem mapping, competitive benchmarking, investor intelligence, opportunity scans, and startup scouting. Most client engagements combine two or three.

01 — SERVICES

01

SECTOR RESEARCH

Sector Deep-Dives

An in-depth analytical view of a specific sector or theme — market structure, key players, growth drivers, business model patterns, funding activity, regulatory context, risks, and strategic white spaces. The output is designed to give a decision-maker a defensible view of where a sector is heading and why.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Sector landscape report, market sizing view, key player analysis, trend and signal map, strategic implications brief.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Corporate strategy teams evaluating market entry, investors building sector theses, founders positioning against a category.

02

ECOSYSTEM MAPPING

Startup Ecosystem Mapping

Identifying and categorising the relevant startup universe within a chosen sector, sub-sector, geography, or business model. We segment companies by stage, funding, investor backing, model, and relevance — so clients can see the full ecosystem instead of the few names already in public view.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Categorised startup longlist, sub-sector segmentation map, funding and stage breakdown, relevance scoring.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Corporate innovation teams scouting partnerships, investors screening deal flow, strategy teams tracking emerging competition.

03

COMPETITIVE BENCHMARKING

Competitive Analysis

Structured comparison of competitors across product, pricing, positioning, funding, geography, customer segments, and strategic direction. The output lets clients see themselves as the market sees them — and identify the moves that matter before the next planning cycle.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Competitor benchmark matrix, positioning map, product and pricing comparison, strategic-direction read.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Founders preparing for fundraise or planning cycle, corporate strategy teams defending or extending category position.

04

INVESTOR INTELLIGENCE

Funding & Investor Mapping

Analysis of funding activity and investor behaviour as a signal — recent rounds, active investors, stage-wise patterns, investor theses, and the companies gaining capital momentum. We read what capital is doing, not just where it has gone.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Investor activity map, thesis analysis, funding trend view, momentum signal read, active-investor shortlist.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Founders preparing a fundraise, investors screening co-investors or competitive capital, corporate teams tracking where strategic capital is moving.

05

OPPORTUNITY SCANS

Strategic Opportunity Analysis

Identifying where a client should play next — underserved segments, emerging business models, partnership opportunities, acquisition targets, and category-expansion ideas. The output is a structured view of opportunities filtered through the client's strategic context.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Opportunity landscape, prioritised opportunity shortlist, partnership and acquisition target list, strategic-fit assessment.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Corporate strategy and innovation teams planning next moves, investors developing new theses, operators evaluating adjacencies.

06

Curated startup longlists and shortlists built for specific corporate use cases — pilots, partnerships, innovation programs, or strategic collaborations. We combine ecosystem mapping with relevance scoring and use-case fit, so the shortlist is defensible by the time it reaches internal stakeholders.

STARTUP SCOUTING

Partnership & Scouting Research

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Scouting longlist, ranked shortlist, use-case fit assessment, partnership-readiness read.

TYPICAL CLIENTS

Corporate innovation teams, venture-build and CVC teams, strategy teams executing a partnership mandate.

02 — ENGAGEMENT SHAPE

What a typical engagement looks like.

01

Scope

Most engagements run between three and eight weeks, depending on depth and scale. We scope every project to the decision it serves — a focused opportunity scan can run two weeks; a full sector deep-dive with scouting can run two months.

02

Format

Deliverables are built to be used, not admired. Tight written documents, structured supporting data, and a working session to walk the client through findings and implications. No hundred-page decks that nobody opens again.

03

Confidentiality

Every engagement is covered by a mutual NDA. We do not repurpose client-commissioned research, republish findings, or reference engagements publicly unless the client explicitly requests it.

NOT SURE WHERE TO START

Most clients don't arrive with a neat brief — and that's fine.

Many of our best engagements begin with a rough question rather than a defined scope. If you know the decision you're working through but aren't sure which service fits, a strategy call is the fastest way to figure it out. We'll help you shape the brief — even if the conclusion is that we aren't the right partner for the work.

WORK WITH US

The best engagements start with a sharp question.

Tell us the decision you're weighing. We'll show you how we'd approach the research.
